An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, met with Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia, BN Reddy, at the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. The meeting is part of India’s continued diplomatic efforts under Operation Sindoor, aimed at garnering global support against Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
High Commissioner Reddy provided the delegation with a detailed briefing on India-Malaysia relations and emphasized India’s unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism. According to the official Twitter handle of the High Commission (@hcikl), Reddy also outlined the strategic context for the delegation’s engagements in Malaysia.
The team arrived in Malaysia after completing a successful visit to Indonesia as part of a broader diplomatic outreach covering multiple Southeast and East Asian nations. The mission aims to unite international voices against terrorism and showcase India’s assertive new policy under Operation Sindoor.
While addressing the Indian diaspora in Jakarta, Sanjay Kumar Jha had earlier reaffirmed India’s proactive stance on national security: “The new India will not just share data. If anything happens to the country, India ab andar ghus ke marega… PM Modi has made this the new normal.”
Jha further highlighted that attempts by terrorists to incite communal tensions in India have failed, praising the country’s resilience and unity. “Even a small incident did not erupt. We are a mature nation,” he said.
Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, marked a decisive military retaliation. Indian forces targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir, eliminating over 100 militants from groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Following retaliatory shelling and drone incursions by Pakistan, India struck back with coordinated operations, damaging Pakistani radar stations, communication hubs, and 11 airbases. A mutual ceasefire understanding was announced on May 10.
The delegation, including MPs from BJP, TMC, CPI(M), and Congress, is visiting Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore to advance India’s diplomatic campaign against terrorism and strengthen regional partnerships.
